+ She was pulled from the sea 200 years ago to be presented as a trophy to a monarch and act as their personal performer- she killed and ate her captors before they reached their destination.
+ She chose to primarily stay on land with only occasional returns to the sea, eventually taking on the facade of a performer to make it easier to lure in victims.
+ Appears friendly and pleasant to others on the outside, but is secretly cold and cruel.
+ Can change her voice at will, this includes her singing voices.
+ Her singing can have mental effects on those who hear it, including putting them to sleep, putting them under her control or prompting them to seek out water to drown themselves.
+ She will often use a different singing voice to lure humans to her so that she may devour them.
+ She will appear human, but when in contact with rain or water, she regains her mermaid tail. She only wears skirts for this reason.
+ With her tail, she can float off the ground so that she may move around on land.
